Storyboard Text

  • Today in science we are doing an experiment with soccer balls! We will have one soccer ball beside a heater, one in the basement and one in a room tempurcure invorenment. After we will be dropping the balls off the roof.
  • The point of the experiment is to see how the temperture of the soccer balls affect the bounce.Let's put the balls in their place.
  • Heater
  • Basment
  • Normal room
  • The dependent variable is the thing that you have no control over. They react to your independent variable and could determan the outcome of your experient. In this experiment the dependent variable is how high the balls bounce.
  • While we wait lets talk about indepentet variables. The independent variable is the variable you can change in the experiment. It is somthing that you can choose. In this experient the indepentdent variable is the temputure of the soccer balls.
  • The controls variables are the things that must stay the same in the experiment. They are the things that cannot change not matter what your independent variable is. In this experiemnt the control variables are the type of soccer ball, the size of the soccer ball and the amount of times the soccer ball is dropped off the roof.
  • The variables are important in an experiment because they break down and simplify the steps of an experiment. It makes performing and evaluating experiments easier to understand.
  • These make a fair experiment because it makes an even chance for each soccer ball. Foe exaple if the soccer ball in the cold basement had more air then the other two this experiment would be unfair.
  • Now let's end this experiment
