- Hitler's army is becoming larger and we need more men for our military, Especially pilots. Due to the new lawsuit courtesy of Yancey Williams, I am now allowing you to fly and help our military. You will be forming an all-black squadron and learn further in the Tuskegee air field. Can I count on you?
- Flying and helping the military win this war has been our dream and we will not let you down. We will become the best and most successful squadron that the military has ever seen
- Chapter 6 Red Tails (51-58)
- New Orders from from the general. Benjamin O Davis Jr, you are now a lieutenant colonel and will be in charge of the airmen trained in Tuskegee. You will be taking both black and white soldiers into the front lines of war, after boarding the SS Mariposa.
- Yes, sir, I will not take this privilege lightly and will be sure to lead to the best of my ability.
- Chapter 6 Red Tails Cont (51-58)
- Gentleman I am your new lieutenant colonel Benjamin O Davis Jr and from now on you will be under my command. We will be boarding the SS Mariposa and sailing toward Morocco for 9 days. After we arrive we will be transported further towards Germany and the German military forces. Each of your planes that you will pilot will have an easily identifiable red marking and you will be known as the Red Tails from now on.
