  • Hi Guys. My name is Cory Dunbarr, and today we will talk about the Bill Of Rights
  • Yes Indeed Cory. We will be talking about the Bill Of Rights. So Strap in because this is going to be fun.
  • First Amendment: freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and freedom of assembly. This is the Humans rights. Second Amendment: the right of the people to keep and bear arms. This allows people to carry a firearm. Third Amendment: restricts housing soldiers in private homes. This Means if the government sent a soldier to live in your house you don't have to let him in. Fourth Amendment: protects against unreasonable search and seizure. This means Police or anyone else will NOT be able to search you unless you have a warrant out for your arrest or they have a reason for you.

  • Oi, Oi, Oi! The Bill Of Rights Was Ratified by the states on December 15, 1791. These ten amendments consist of the rights to bear arms, Freedom of speech, and freedom of press.
  • The 7th amendment is the rights in civil cases. It protects the right for citizens to have a jury trial in federal courts with civil cases where the claim exceeds a certain dollar value.
  • The 6th amendment is the Right to a fair trial. This means the person who is being tried cannot have a unfair trial.
  • 5th Amendment: The right for a Criminals trial. The Criminal Is not guilty until proven.

  • The Ninth amendment the existence of a written constitution should not be treated as an excuse for ignoring nontextual rights. This means no constitutional law should be treated lower than another or ignored by Any U.S. Citizen.
  • So, At First, The Colonies came up with a constitution. There were 13 states at the time. But 2 States thought they needed to have a bill of rights to keep the government from being too powerful.
  • The 8th Amendment is the Bail, fines, and the punishments and criminal recieves. This means No criminal can get an excessive fine or harsh punishment for their standard/crime.
