- Art can only exist if there is no meaning behind each piece of it. Otherwise, the strong emotions thar are expressed in art would go agaist our World State's moto and cause instability in our society.
- Art will only make the World State instable, Mustapha.
- Although science has benefited our society in numerous different ways, you are indeed correct, it has also affected the way the people in this society behave and think. It has caused them to lose sight of their own humanity. This is what is going to cause insatbility in society. This is in fact the opposite outcome we are trying to make happen.
- Technology in this society does not give us people the ability to make our own decisions does it now? That is what will cause instability in this society.
- Helmholtz, in order to get happiness, there will always be a cost. If sacrificing art and science in order to maintain the stability of our society is what is required, then that is what we must do.
- I understand that Mustapha. I actually concur with you. For our society to function happily, stability is necessary. The goal of the World State is to maintain the stability and happiness of our civilization.
