- Hi Aristotle! Hi Galileo!
- I think that bodies naturally reduce speed and stop when a force acts on them.
- I have been researching for a while now and discovered a law of motion. I actually got the idea for it after I heard Galileo's theory about velocity of bodies.
- I think that bodies maintain their velocity except when a force (mainly friction) acts on them.
- What is your law of motion, Newton?
- It is that every object will remain at rest or in uniform motion in a straight line unless compelled to change its state by the action of an external force.
- Newton, Galileo, and Aristotle meet at a cruise party.
- Wait. But that doesn't make any sense according to my assertion that I stated earlier.
- Yes, I agree with Galileo. Because every object does remain at rest until an external force is applied on it.
- Galileo asks Newton and Aristotle what they think about motion. They start stating what they have been researching for years.
- I refuse to agree that my ideas about motion are wrong.

- Aristotle asks Newton what his law of motion is. This law is also known as Newton's First of Motion.
