- We found that things can pass through the spatial area of attentional focus and still not be acknowledged if they are not specifically focussed on.
- We discovered that you are more likely to notice unexpected events if these events are visually similar to events you are focussing on - that's why you were more likely to see the gorilla if you focussed on the black team.
