- Montag meeting with Clarisse

- Mildred overdose on sleeping pills!
- Mildred!!
- The only entertainment
- That's one-third of my yearly pay.
- It'll be even more fun when we can have the fourth wall(tv) installed!
- On his way back home Guy Montag had met his new neighbor. Clarisse McClellan behaving as if she had been waiting for him. She felt that he was familiar as a fireman and started to talk to him. But, the conversation got sort of weird and it bothered Montag.
- Burning of a lady that kept books
- When Montag returned home he found Mildred which was his wife not moving or breathing. He found the thing of sleeping pills which had thirty capsules that morning uncapped and empty. He called for help fast and got her treated and cared for with two handymen and two machines.
- The hidden book
- Mildred had kept asking Montag when they would be able to afford a new TV, but having three TVs already. Showing that TV programmes were her only real thing that kept her entertained.
- Beatty's Visit!
- ...
- "You can't ever have my books," the lady said. Montag and his team had received a report though that someone was hiding books in their home. As they found the person that was hiding them they had to do their jobs and burn the books. Except the lady did not want to leave the house and set the house on fire with a random kitchen match.
- A thing that Montag had done was secretly take a book home even though it was illegal. After getting home he shoved it under the cold pillow and laid on the bed. Thinking about the book and his love relationship that he has for Mildred.
- Beatty visited Montag's home and talked with him. Then there conversation started to surround the things of firemen taking books secretly. Which was what Montag did. Beatty seemed to know what Montag had done. Then had came to hint to him.
