- France is in a war and is desperate for money. America takes advantage of that and buys land from them.
- We would like to buy some land from you.
- We need it anyways.
- America buys the land and sends out two explorers, Lewis and Clark to see what they bought. Lewis and Clark come back with good news.
- THIS PLACE IS COOL!!!
- Zebulon pike is another explorer how explores Kansas. Although he comes back with a bad report.
- This place is a desert!
- Stephin Long makes one of the first maps of america. He labels kansas "the great american desert.
- A DESERT!
- Jackson's speech was about what the "happy americans" could do with the land. This was the overall thing to start the indian removal act.

- The indian removal act was a success. All of the natives where put in kansas where they would fight over land and resources.
