- He lives with his mom in a very small shack that can be found in a very small town in the middle of nowhere.
- Rising action
- Johnny works at the local deli as a butcher. Johnny’s long shift cutting slimy, cheap meat finally ended.
- Rising Aciton
- The only way to get out of the low mood he was in was to go outside with his friends, away from the responsibilities of making money just to eat and afford his house with his mom. The pedal cycle was his place to unwind and get away from it all.
- Rising Action
- They always go on this special ride in the mountains and it is a challenging and narrow, rocky path. Johnny’s best friend Aidan is always the leader when they go on pedal-cycle rides. But on this ride, Johnny wanted to go first.
- He slips off of the hill and slides all the way down to the bottom with his pedal-cycle. When he gets up, he is super surprised to see a big tree that broke his fall from keep rolling and getting dirtier. Instead of leaves, the tree has currency.
- Johnny starts taking money off the tree as fast as he can and stuffs it into his pockets. He shows all the currency to his mother.
