- Exogenic processes are external processes that occur on or near the Earth’s surface and are driven by external forces such as the atmosphere, hydrosphere, and biosphere. These processes involve the breakdown and movement of materials on the Earth's surface and are primarily powered by energy from the sun.

- First is Weathering. Weathering is a breakdown of rocks into smaller particles by physical, chemical, or biological means.
- Physical weathering: Breaking down rocks through mechanical forces like freezing and thawing, temperature changes, or abrasion.Chemical weathering: Decomposition of rocks through chemical reactions Biological weathering: Breakdown of rocks due to the actions of organisms.

- Second is Erosion, Erosion is the removal of soil, rock, or sediment from one location and its transportation to another by agents such as water, wind, glaciers, and gravity.
