- I'm looking at food products and wondering why the prices got higher.
- Well, it's all because of supply and demand.
- Really? Can you tell me more?
- This results to lower supply, since companies aren't allowed to operate at full-capacity to lessen the spread of COVID-19. As a result, people result to hoarding, which is higher demand.
- Well, because of the current pandemic, the lockdown restrains people from going out. So, most workspaces are short-staffed.
- Oh. But if people keep hoarding even with the lower supply, I bet it'll cause problems with the employees' working conditions, and the environment.
- So. how can we as consumers be responsible with the products and services they demand?
- Well, people can be responsible by consuming only what they need and knowing the supply chain of the companies so we know when those products will be available again.
- I'll definitely keep that in mind but how will I know the supply chain of the product?
- There are many grocery shops around the world with a phone number in which you can ask if the products or products are available and they'll let you know,
