- After the Persian war, Greece started to become united instead of separated into city-states. All people of Greece were now connected and a whole. They became unified. A sense of Nationalism. The people of Greece formed the Delian League, an alliance of the city-states against Persia.
- The Battle of Marathon was the first battle between Persia and Greece. Greece won by using passes and the terrain around them to trap the Persians. Battles after that include; battle of Thermopylae, Salamis, and Plataea.
- When Athens lost to Sparta in the Peloponnesian war many things changed. This included Sparta changing the Democracy into an Oligarchy. However, Sparta soon lost control over Athens and wars broke out between city-states. All this chaos led Macedonia to take advantage and conquer Greece.
- The Battle of Aegospotami was the final battle between Athens and Sparta. Athens was at the harbor of Aegospotami and thought the harbor was safe. They went to obtain badly needed food and supplies. Sparta captured the entire Athenian fleet while they were gone. The Athenians did not surrender and barricaded themselves, however their food supply was cutoff so they had to surrender.

- Alexander the Great impacted much of the world. He spread Greek culture throughout Asia and Africa. He left Greek rulers from his army and government to rule over the cities he built in different territories he conquered. One city is Alexandria, name after himself.
- Alexander the Great never lost a battle. He defeated the Persian empire in the battle of Issus. He was fearless and courageous which led to King Darius III to run away in fear when Alexander cut right through the Persian defenses.
- Victory! I have defeated the almighty King Darius III with my soldiers.
