  • The countries that formed the Triple alliance were Germany, Austria-Hungary, and Italy. The countries that formed the Triple Entente were France, Great Britain, and Russia. The benefits for the alliances were for them to protect one another and the alliances were supposed to help one another. The drawbacks of the alliances were that they were creating tensity between the two sides from an early stage. The major alliances that were formed between 1882 and 1907 were the Triple Entente which included Russia, Great Britain, and France.
  • Militarism is a strong military with a lot of power to take over. Militarism led to global competition because powerful countries with powerful militaries used to take over the land from other countries. For example, Great Britain and Germany established their armies and increased their armies to great power. Militarism benefited the war by helping their country push the countries that were involved with the war. Militarism led to paranoia because they were creating a stronger military and it was judged by the people which made them look for alliances.
  • Italy, Austria-Hungary, and Germany marching to battle and getting their army ready.
