The Fall of the House of Usher
Storyboard Text
- This house is quite frightening .
- My senses are enhanced and my sister is dying.
- I thought that chic was a ghost
- The speaker is sent a letter from his childhood friend, Roderick Usher. Usher tells him that he has a mental disorder and that he requires his company. The speaker obliges and heads to the House of Usher.
- You must not behold this! Let me read to you bro.
- Have you not seen this? This storm is crazy!!!
- Unnamed speaker (U.S.) meets Roderick Usher, and Usher tells him about his disorder and that his sister, Madeline, is also sick and dying. She is cataleptic, so sometimes she seizes where she looks dead. Usher says if he loses her, he'll be devastated.
- Madeline dies on the speaker's first night there. The doctors want to do an immediate autopsy on her, but Usher won't let that happen. He believes she may still be alive. So, he asks U.S. to help him "temporarily" bury her in a vault in the basement. The vault has very heavy metal doors that anyone would be able to hear if they were somehow opened again.
- Gotta go. Gotta go. Gotta go. Gotta go.
- A storm breaks out at the house and Usher is freaking out, so U.S. attempts to calm him down by reading him his favorite book. But, while he's reading to Usher he starts hearing these weird sounds of screams and grating noises that sound a lot like the metal doors.
- Usher exclaims that he believes they buried Madeline alive and that he's been hearing her for days. He tells U.S. that she's at the door of the room they're in and when he opens that door Madeline lunges at Usher, killing both of them.
- U.S. runs from the house, but while he's still close, he turns to see the house collapse and disappear into the tarn. Since all the remaining Usher's have died the house collapsed.
