- Hello Jim, as you know I have been interested in Chemistry and I wanted to share my information with you based on what I studied about yesterday.
- Hello Joey, yeah I always see you studying Chemistry!you can share your information if you would like.
- So, there are 3 laws of matter: the law of Conservation of Mass, The Law of definite proportions and The Law of multiple proportions.
- Not at all!
- Oh, That's cool. Do you mind explaining them to me?
- The Law of Definite Proportions states that a Chemical compound will always have the same proportions or amount of each element by weight, no matter what the amount is.
- So, the Law of conservation of mass is basically when the mass stays the same when it's in an experiment or a mixture. the definition of this Law is: "Mass is neither created nor is it Destroyed."
- The Law of Multiple Proportions if two elements form more than one compound, then the ratios of the masses of the second element which combine with a fixed mass of the first element will always be ratios of small whole numbers.
