- The Iron Curtain Speech was given by Winston Churchill where he talked about the U.S. and Britain being the two countries that have peace and stability against the Soviet Union.

- The Truman Doctrine was when President Harry Truman established that the United States would provide political, military, and economic to assist all democratic nations under threat.
- Formation of NATO
- The Marshall Plan was a plan to help stimulate economic growth in effort to tear down and nearly bankrupt post WWII and prevent the spread of communism.
- The Berlin Airlift was when the western countries delivered food and supplies to the city of Berlin through airplanes because all the other routes were blocked by the Soviet Union.
- The Formation of NATO was made to deteriorate Soviet expansion and to forbid the renewal of nationalist militarism in Europe.
