- Hey Aden, Do you know a thing or two about disability? I would to educate myself on this topic.
- Hey Angie, I’ll Introduce you to my aunt, She is disabled and has what’s known as ‘Hemiparesis. Teaching others about disability Is her expertise.
- What’s Hemiparesis anyway?
- Hemiparesis Is weakness , loss of strength or partial paralysis on one side of the body.
- Oh that’s horrible. So sorry about your aunts condition.
- Nah, don’t sweat it . She can probably run a marathon, compete ina wrestling match, do all the things we do, if not better.
- Aunt Susan, there’s someone that wants to learn about disability , & how It can affect people’s life.
- That’s great intiative! Let us not waste any time. And educate the public.
- Hey Aunt Susan. Aden tells me that you have Hemiparesis and that you are willing to share what you know about disability .
- Yes. Lend me your ears, and you shall walk away with full understanding of what it means to be disabled. My condition Is loss of strength on one side of the body. In my case the right-side. Disability Is an impairment.

- Impairment that maybe cognitive developmental, Intellectual, mental, physical, sensory or combination of these. Disability affects a person’s life activities and maybe present from birth or developed.
