- Prophase
- Metaphase
- Interphase is the longest phase. Its where normal cell life occurs and Where DNA copies.
- Anaphase
- In prophase chromatin condenses into chromosomes and the Nucleus disappears from the cell.
- Telophase
- Metaphase is the phase where chromosomes line up in the middle of the cell to get ready to split evenly and go to opposite sides of the cell.
- Cytokinesis
- In Anaphase, the chromosomes split apart evenly and are pulled to the opposite sides of the cell by spindle fibers.
- In this phase the cell forms two new nuclei on the opposite sides of the cell and the chromosomes turn back into chromatin undoing mitosis.
- In cytokinesis the cytoplasm splits and two new identical daughter cells form.
