- Yo can you pull into this gas station here, I gotta pick up something from a friend.
- Yo I appreciate it
- Here you go man!
- Who's tryna smoke this joint before we go into the movies?
- ‘I don’t want to get caught or get in trouble with my parents or the movie workers, but I’ve been waiting all week to see this movie and hangout with my friends. I don’t want my friends to make fun of me but I also don’t want to have a negative experience and not know how to handle it! I also know that smoking marijuana over time changes the way your nerve cells communicate which can affect decision making, concentration, and memory which is not something I want.’
- Hmm, should I smoke with them, what could go wrong?...
- ‘I could either smoke with them, wait for them to smoke and just watch the movie, try to convince them not to smoke, or ask my mom to pick me up from the movies when we get there and say I don’t feel well.’
- The rest of us want to, we don’t care what you decide
- Alright well I don’t think I am going to smoke, but I will wait until you’re done and we can all watch the movie
- “Hey guys I’m not really sure any of us should be doing this, smoking marijuana over time causes respiratory problems and increases the risk of heart disease and heart attacks.”
- I’m glad I decided not to smoke because I’ve heard that over time the use of marijuana affects your school performance causing marijuana users to be more likely to have bad grades and drop out of school, but I am still excited to watch the movie with my friends!
