Storyboard Text

  • Hey Rumy, did you hear about the new tennis training sessions?
  • Hey Rob, I did, but I am not sure what I will do in it. I do not know how tennis is played.
  • Oh what if I taught you the physics behind tennis and how it is played ??
  • Well then I will be thrilled to join it !!
  • Well, in tennis a court is divided into two equal sections. In a singles match, two players stand at each sectional area and hit the ball from one end to the other end.
  • The player who fails to deliver the ball to the opponent for any reason, loses the point.
  • In simple terms, there are three concepts of physics behind Tennis.By the way, this is a fun fact- Tennis balls have furry texture so that friction increases and prevents the ball from over speeding
  • Potential Energy- When the player swings his racket behind, potential energy is generated.
  • Kinetic Energy- When the player swings the racket forwardthe potential energy is converted to kinetic energy.
  • This kinetic energy is then transferredinto the tennis ball and some sound energy.
  • And that's how you play tennis !!
  • Thanks a ton Rob !!The funny thing is, I learnt physics and tennis both at the same time.It is pretty unique if you think about it
