- Sure okay, so for this problem, you have to do a proportion.
- The drawing of a building shown below has a scale of 1in=20ft, if their is 2in and 3in in both sides, what is the actual area of the building
- Hey sis can you help me with this math problem?

- Okay so this is our first proportion, that were doing to see how much feet are 3 inches here.

- Okay first lets set up our language. in other words, how were going to set up the proportion. so lets do inches over feet.
- Lets cross multiply 20 x 3 = 60 and then divide it by 1 and you get 60ft

- So in this case, the actual length would be 3 in = 60ft. Now lets move on to the other proportion!

- Okay so this is our second proportion, that were doing to see how much feet are 2 inches here.

- Lets cross multiply 20 x 2 = 40 and then divide it by 1 and you get 40ft
