- Arithmetic density is the total number of people in a area . The world uses this to know the population of a state or country . ex : The U.S. arithmetic density is 80 per square mile .
- the number of people supported by one unit of arable land .The world uses this to know if they have enough farm land to feed all of their population .
- The number of farmers to the amount of arable land . So that they will have enough farmers for the farm land
