- Odysseus almost gets attacked by dogs disguised as an old man but Swineherd helped him.
- Odysseus is telling Swineherd that Odysseus is coming soon and introducing himself to him as an old man.
- Odysseus is lying as an old man to make swineherd believe that he's an old man and not Odysseus.
