Under the terms of the law we have the right to stay here
In March 1765, the Parliament the ''Quartering Act'' started. Under the terms of this law, the colonist were directed to provide for the basic needs of soldiers stationed within its borders.
The law specified that it included items included bedding, cooking utensils, firewood, beer or cider and candles.
This law was expanded in 1766 and required the colonies to provide lodging for soldiers in taverns and unoccupied houses.
