- Hi Bob, As I mentioned earlier, I am going to take my annual leave next month for my Europe trip
- Hi Alice, Yes that is great.
- But I have a problem with it. I need to talk you on it .On my europe trip, I am planning to visit my sister who is in France but she is asking me to stay there for around 2 weeks. I really want to know whether I can extend my annual leave by another 2 weeks ?
- Hi Alice, Yes. It would be great, if you can stay with your sister but I am sorry, the problem is that it is not possible to extend annual leave as per HR policy. I trust that you are already aware of it ?
- Bob, My sister is planning a lot.. She is urging me to stay longer, at least two weeks. I going to visit her after 5 year, which is a long time.. I would really appreciate, if you could help me here.
- I am sorry Alice, I love to help you but it is a HR policy it is only allowed to take 2 weeks of annual leave maximum.
- Bob I am not sure whether I will get free time soon to go visit my sister. My sister really wants to be with me for a few weeks I want the same. Is there anything that we can plan out to get this done? Could you please consider ?
- Hmm there is one possibility that we can think of… While you are staying with your sister.. Can you work online ?
- Yes.. sure why not? I will be able to do it..
- Then just take the 2 week of annual leaves consider other 2 weeks working days from home. Here your home is your sister's home.

- However Alice, you want to make sure that you have the necessary environment to work from the sister’s home.. I meant your laptop, good internet connection etc..
- Yes. I will arrange those make sure that there won’t be any problems within two week of working from home.. Thanks a lot Bob!
