- "Lennie stole my Luger. It ain't in my bag."
- "Don't shoot 'im? He got Carlson's Luger. Course we'll shoot 'im."
- "I'm goin'. I'm gonna shoot the guts outa of Lennie."
- "Lennie is nuts. Don't shoot 'im. He di'n't know what he was doin'."
