- Prepare for the Knowledge test! You need to get at least 40 out of 50 to pass. There are many online resources to study off of.
- Step Four
- After the Knowledge test, you need to spend at least 12 months driving with a supervisor. You must follow a certain set of rules during this time (Sign must be displayed, a passenger limit, no cellphone etc.)
- Step Five
- Once you’ve spent a year as an L, you can take a 45 minute exam with an examiner that will pass or fail you depending on your skills. The restrictions for N are similar to L.
- Step Six
- The car is safe, and you did well, but you should work on your parking skills.
- It is required that you are a novice for 2 years before you can graduate and receive your full licence. After, you can study for the final test by using multiple resources provided online.
- Some driving skills you may need for the final exam are: Changing lanes, parking up a hill, angle parking, and more! You will also be tested on “hazard awareness” (ex. Dangerous drivers, icy roads, emergency vehicles.)
- Before the exam, they will inspect the car to deem if safe or not. It may be more challenging than the previous tests, but the examiner will give you feedback on what to improve afterwards.
