- The next step is, convert the word equation into a chemical equation. It would be Mg + N2 → MgN2
- 3Mg + N2 → Mg3N2 Reactant side Mg - 1x3+=3, N - 2 Product Side Mg - 3, N - 2

- And the last step is, balance the given chemical equation written in step 2, by adding coefficient after the chemical symbol or chemical formula.
