- During time of carnvail Festivites. Fortunato wants to try the "fine wines" but really its Montreors bait.

- Montresor must get revenge on Fortunato.
- Falling Action
- Montresor tricks Fortunato to coming down to the catacombs.
- Resolution
- When they are deep in the catacombs, Montresor chains Fortunato to a wall inside a small alcove and begins sealing it off with a wall of bricks.
- Fortunato wants to believe this is a joke, but once Montresor threw in a tourch, only then did Fortunato start to sober up and realize this was no joke.
- Forced the last stone in and plastereed it up. In pace requiescat!
