- OH! YOU ARE HAVING AN AFFAIR WITH MYRTLE?!
- Nick, this is Myrtle, the woman I am in love with.
- Nick Carraway, the narrator, moves to Long Island to be closer to his work.
- Nick becomes friends with his neighbor, Jay Gatsby, who is known to have a peculiar past. Gatsby is also known for his extravagant parties.
- Tom invites Nick to spend a day with him. During that day, Nick finds out that Tom is having an affair with Myrtle Wilson, a woman who is married to George Wilson.
- YOU ARE IN LOVE WITH MY WIFE!!!!!
- Gatsby tells Nick that he is in love with Daisy Buchanan and asks Nick to arrange a meeting
- Daisy and Gatsby reunite and start an affair
- Tom confronts Gatsby about being a bootlegger and accuses him of being in love with Daisy
- Daisy accidentally runs over and kills Myrtle on the way back after the confrontation.
- George Wilson murders Gatsby because he thinks that Gatsby was his wife's lover and murderer.
- Nick arranges Gatsby's funeral and is bewildered by the fact that nobody wanted to attend his funeral except for his father, servants, and an old business associate.
