  • February 1917:Bolsheviks starts to gather followers to fight against the government of Nicholas II.
  • Primary causes of the Russian Revolution includes widespread of corruption and inefficiency within the czarist imperial government, growing dissatisfaction among peasants, workers, and soldiers. The Russian Revolution lead to the Birthof Socialist government. This led to the world's first communist/socialist government.
  • March 1917:Nicholas II abdicates power. A new provisional government takes control.
  • September 1917:Trotsky and other Bolshevik leaders are released from prison. Kerensky declares Russian Republic.
  • 1918:Russia pulls out of World War I.
  • 1922:Lenin leads the Bolsheviks to establish the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics(USSR), a communist country.
  • 1924:Lenin dies, Trotsky and Stalin clash Stalin becomes leader.
