- Jerome finally makes a friend at school named Carlos. Carlos give Jerome a toy gun so he can take it home and play with. Later that day Jerome went to the park.
- Emmett Till and the Ghost Boys
- "Grandma was right...Every goodbye ain't gone".
- When Jerome was at the park , someone called and said that a man had a gun. Then a police arrived and see Jerome with his toy gun and the policeman thinks it's a real gun, so he start shooting at Jerome without stopping to check if the gun is real. Jerome has being killed.

- Dad can you help me with my project?
- Ever since Jerome's death, he has been seeing another ghost boy everywhere he goes. This other man is also black, but he wears clothes from the 19th century. Jerome has meet Sarah, the daughter of the man who killed him.
- The day of the dead
- Jerome discovers that a ghost who keeps appearing it's actually the spirit of Emmett Till, a young boy who was tortured and killed by 2 white men in 1955. Emmett Till introduce Jerome to Ghost Boys, a group of young black men who have been killed by white people.
- Sarah makes a website about ending racism and she ask her father to work with her. Their relationship is reconciled and her father realizes the racial injustices that he has made, and Sarah realizes that she must always forgive family and help her father grow.
- Jerome's family and Carlos family visit Jerome's grave on All Saints' Day, also that they is known and "Day of the dead". Both families celebrate Jerome's life with their respective culture.
