- The war of 1812 was a between the united states and great Britain,it started in 1812 and lasted three whole years.
- The war started because Great Britain was capturing and forcing the U.S soldiers to fight for Britain.

- On June President James Madison sent a letter to the British, and though in the letter he did not declare war he meant it.

- The goal of the unites states was to destroy the British colonies, so they could expel the British from that constant and gain new ground. They also wanted imprisonment to stop and get the captured us soldiers back.
- The Native Americans played a huge role in the war.They helped Britain, in exchange for some weapons to defend their land from the colonists, so they defended Canada from the Americans.
