  • Kukulcan was one of the many gods Mayans worshiped, and he was also the chief god. His name meant the feathered serpent. He was believed to be a creator god, and the god of rain, wind, storms, and life.

  • This is a pyramid built by the Mayan people probably between 1050 and 1300 CE, it was used as a sacred place to make human sacrifices to their gods.

  • The Mayans sacrificed people who broke the laws to their gods. They painted the sacrifice blue because blue resented the serpent god.
