- A ghost with the looks of the King appears to Horatio and Marcellus.
- The perfume and suppliance of a minute
- Hamlet is still in grief for his fathers death. Meanwhile his mother got married to Claudius, the Kings brother.
- Yet here Laertes? Aboard, aboard, for shame.
- Horatio and Marcellus tell Hamlet about the ghost, and how he looks like his father.
- Revenge his foul and most unnatural murder
- Laertes tell Ophelia that Hamlet won't stay with her because of his position in life.
- Polonius joins Ophelia to say goodbye to Laertes who goes back to France.
- The ghost tells Hamlet to get revenge for his father murder by Claudius.
