- Exposition
- We will use the conch to decide who speaks!
- We need to hunt!! Kill! Hunt!!
- Inciting Action
- This is all your fault, Jack. You and the littleluns did not help with the fire!
- If you don't watch out Piggy, I will knock you out!
- Rising Action
- They'll never see us now!
- A plane full of boys is stranded on an island as a result of a terrible crash. Leaders naturally rise from the group like Ralph who calls the boys together using a conch, and Jack who tries to organize the group to hunt for their food. Eventually though, Ralph is named the leader.
- Climax
- Forget Ralph! We don't need him or his stupid fire! We rule this island!
- The boys are trying and somewhat struggling to survive on the island. Some of the boys are beginning to argue a great deal with others like Jack and Piggy. They all do agree to light and keep stoking a signal fire to attract the attention of a boat or plane that could save them. Unfortunately, the fire winds up getting out of control and destroying part of the forest.
- Falling Action
- Because the fire went out after destroying the forest, a passing boat does not see the boys on the island and steers past them. After exploring the destroyed forest, the boys believe there is a beast on the island.
- Resolution
- What happened here?
- After a major argument breaks out between Ralph and Jack, Jack storms off, taking his choir boys and most of the littleluns with him.
- In the chaos of a storm, Simon is killed by the boys as a result of their diminishing humanity and the death of Piggy happens shortly after for the same reason. The island has officially descended into chaos.
- As the boys attempt to move on to kill Ralph next, he collapses. When he wakes up, he realizes they are being saved by a naval ship and returning home to the order of the world.
