  • Sin (like lying for example) violates divine law by saying we don't love God and we refuse his love.
  • Yeah I'm a frequent liar.
  • Rejecting God's love makes our lives harder because covering up our sinful actions adds unnecessary stress in our lives which is easily avoidable.
  • Man covering up my sinful actions is stressing me out.
  • Sin in Hebrew means chata which means "to miss the mark". It's pointing to the concept of sinning is missing the mark in life which is what happens when someone rebels against God. All your sins are judged on the Final Judgement which decides whether you'll spend eternal communion with God.
  • Severity of sin is based on intention. If you did not intend to commit the sin, then the sin is not that severe. If you did intend to commit the sin, then that sin is severe.
