  • DEFINATION: A verb that is normally used with other verbs to convey likelihood such as "SHOULD" which is expected that something will happen. Other examples of modal verbs are "CAN" which is the ability to do something and also "MIGHT" which is to showcase that probability that something will happen.

  • Oh! I could have been to class but I decided not to come because it was a waste of time.
