Carbon molecule
Animals respire by taking glucose and oxygen and making carbon dioxide and water.
BIOSPHERE
Plants takes energy from sun, carbon dioxide, and water to make glucose and oxygen (photosynthesis)
HYDROSPHERE
Underwater plants do both cellular respiration and photosynthesis- but underwater! Carbon then is released into the atmosphere.
Because carbon is a gas, when it touches the water, it dissolves, releasing it into the atmosphere.
Both cellular respiration and photosynthesis (underwater and regular) release carbon into the atmosphere.
ATMOSPHERE
GEOSPHERE
Rocks erodes, which starts a chemical reaction between minerals and CO2.
Carbon gets layered on top of itself in the sea, then pushed down into the core of the earth, then released in the form of lava
Humans burn fossil fuels like coal, oil, and gas, to make electricity. This releases CO2 into the atmosphere.
