Hi, My Name is Tiya! Today I will be showing what is water management and some examples of it.
This dam is built to control water through placement of the barrier that restricts the flow of surface or underground water. Reservoirs created by dams not only suppress floods but also provide water for activities such as irrigation, human consumption, aquaculture, and navigability.
A well is a structure created in the ground by digging or drilling to access water. The oldest and most common kind of well is a water well, to access the groundwater.
Irrigation is the artificial application of water to the soil through various systems of tubes, pumps, and sprays. Irrigation is usually used in areas where rainfall is irregular or dry times or drought is expected.
Healthy lakes influence our quality of life and they strengthen our economy. Proper lake function controls the impact of floods and droughts by storing large amounts of water and releasing it during shortages.
Thank you for reading my storyboard. Hope you enjoyed my presentation!
