My Secret Unicorn

- Lauren and her family move to the country, where Mr Foster wants to peruse his dream of becoming a farmer. Lauren loves horses and ponies and has always wanted one since she was young. One day Mrs Foster takes Lauren to a horse sale where she finds a scruffy, dirty horse named Twilight. He seemed just perfect for Lauren.
- The previous owner of Twilight, Mr Roberts and Mrs Foster made a deal to have Twilight dropped off the next morning, so Lauren and her mum went to go buy the essential things for the horse. On the way home, Lauren and Mrs Foster decide to go to a bookshop. Inside the bookshop was an elderly woman named Mrs Fontana.
- She helped Lauren pick out books and gave her a special book, 'The Life Of A Unicorn'. Mrs Fontana said she's seen a unicorn and that all it needs are the magic words, spoken by the right person, a handful of the secret flowers and a unicorn, but Lauren believed it was all made up. That night, Lauren read the book of unicorns, but still believed unicorns were fake.
- The next morning, Twilight was delivered by Mr Roberts. Lauren and her brother Max started by grooming, brushing and washing him to make him look more clean, then she went for a ride on him around the woods. Again, that night, Lauren read the book of unicorns, but had a shock when she thought Twilight was a unicorn in disguise.
- The next morning she went for a ride on him again, around the woods, but today the pony and Lauren decided to go off onto a side-trail, which led to heap of grass and familiar looking flowers. After they went back home she read her book again and realised that the flowers were familiar from the book, they were moonflowers, needed for The Turning Spell.
- She then realised that Twilight was a unicorn this whole time. In the end Lauren finds out how to turn Twilight into a flying, talking unicorn with The Turning Spell and how to change her back into a small, grey pony with The Undoing Spell given by Mrs Fontana.
