- Matilda chapter - 12 Miss Honey announced : that the head mistress takes actress once a week on a fixed and time. Matilda's grade was onj a Thiursday at 2 O clock

- Laveender was given the task of arranging a glass of water and a jug. Along with this responsibilty she decided to use it to do some heroic acts. The plot took the definite shape in her mind. She trapped a Newt to play trick on the Headmistress. - With full excitement and anxiety to make her plan sucessful, She hurried to the kitchen picked up a blue jug and filled it half with water. It was placed carefully on the table .
- She also warnd the students about dicipline and lesson to be learnt. She said that Ms. Trunchbull will be testing thwm on the lesson that they learn in the week. she could test them on tables or spellings.
- She kept it a top secret as her name should not be revealed as the culprit by any student. When all the arrangement was done, she quitely slipped out of the classroom and joined others in the playground,
- Now anxiously waiting for the lessson to begin.
- The glass was still empty. She slided the Newt into jug. Also put some pond weeds into it so that the amphibian was not disturbed and felt homely.
