  • The Athenians must pay for what they have done to my son!
  • Father, this is madness! the Athenian people have done nothing wrong! They are not yours to sacrifice to the Minotaur!
  • These people don't deserve their fate!
  • The maker of this maze himself told me that there is a way out of this! Take rope tied to the entrance and hold onto it throughout the labrynth. Once you are ready, trace the rope back to the entrance and you can escape home. However, I will only help you if you promise to let me come with you back to Athens when this is over?
  • Of course!
  • After the untimely death of my brother Prince Androgeus of Crete, my father began to raid the city of the king who was responsible. Mother's horrid half bull "Minotaur" offspring needed to be fed, and father planned to take flesh from Athens to satisfy it.
  • I hope nothing went wrong...
  • I knew father would not back out of this when the first offerings arrived. I couldn't begin to imagine how it would feel to have to accept my own death. I took pity on the Athenians and disobeyed my father, for the first time in my life, in an effort to save them from the Minotaur.
  • To rescue the Athenians from their death, I went to Daedalus, the maker of the maze in which the monster was kept, and demanded he tell me a way one might escape it. He told me, and I went to one of the Athenians; Theseus he was called. I told him everything I was told about escaping the maze.
  • Our ship suffered damage as we were sailing back to Athens, so we pulled ashore to repair it. I was useless in a situation like this. I don't know my way around a ship, or repairs. Still, my good mood refused to be tarnished. Overnight, a storm hit and everyone who had been on board the ship to Athens was gone, adrift as far as I could tell. I was unecrtain if any of them were alive, or ever coming back. the island was bare so I am starving and uncomfortable. I don't have to accept it, but I'm going to die.
  • Theseus had agreed to let me help him and his crew escape Crete. All that remained to do was to kill the Minotaur and steal a boat back to Athens. It was a long wait but in time all Athenians were out of the labrynth safe.
  • I couldn't be happier to be on my way to a new life. I even felt like the boats burned on our way out were a personal goodbye to Crete. In Athens, I thought, there would be more times I felt this good
