- Hi! Welcome to the Indus River in Mohenjo-Daro, India. My Indus Valley Civilization lasted from 2700 BCE to 1900 BCE.
- Our homes are very strong because they are made with baked mud bricks. Our houses are built strong because of floods and other bad weather.
- Most people worked from home so they did not have a long commute.
- Off I go to the roof to wave and say hi to my friends.
- Shower Room
- For our showers we stand on stone bricks and pour a jar of clean water on ourselves.
- We have toilets that are very advanced in technology and we have our very own sewer system.
- Toilet Room
- The Great Bath is 39 feet wide and 8 feet deep.
- As a part of our religion we come here to become pure and free from sins.
- The Great Bath always has clean and pure water.
- Welcome to the Great Bath. We come to come here to bathe and become clean.
- Here is an example of one of our seals. Our seals are carved writing or pictures into flat stone pieces. We carve animals into the stone such as bulls, fish, and tigers.
- We give away some items we make such as pots and beads. When we give items away we also receive items. The items we receive other people make that we don't make. That is called trading.
