- Central Nervous System
- Im super excited today!! As mention by our lecturer, today we will learn about nervous system. I love to learn and know more about my body. HMMM what is Nervous system and what is it function in body?I guess I will find out about it today!

- Good morning student! As I mention yesterday, today you guys will learn about Nervous System. Any of you can tell me the function of nervous system in our body?
- Ermm yeah.. but to be more specific nervous system control and communicate information throughout the body. They will extract information from the environment using the sensory receptors and send it to the central nervous system to determine an appropriate response.
- That is so cool! Please tell us more about it Madam.
- -Consist of brain and Spinal cord- Control most function of the body and mind-The brain is the center of our thoughts, the interpreter of our external environment, and the origin of control over body movement. -The spinal cord is the highway for communication between the body and the brain. When the spinal cord is injured, the exchange of information between the brain and other parts of the body is disrupted.
- Nervous system is divided into two which is the central nervous system and peripheral nervous system
- Peripheral Nervous System
- BRAIN
- Is the pathway for messages sent by the brain to the other part of the body, and also from the body part to the brain. It will transmitted nerve signals from the body, and from the afferent fibers of the sensory neurons to the sensory cortex.
- Cerebrum which is the largest part in brain controls voluntary actions, speech, senses, thought and memory. white matter / axons will send the information to dendrites and soma which is the Grey matter for it to be process.
- SPINAL CORD
- Hmm, I guess my brain is malfunctioning right now, as all I can think about is Najwa.

- Voluntary : Eating
- Ahh, talking about that Najwa, your reaction right now is actually part of the Peripheral nervous system. It is called 'fight or flight responses'
- Voluntary : Walking
- -Divided into two which is the somatic and autonomic nervous system- Autonomic is further divided into two sub group which is parasympathetic and sympathetic which control the flight or fight responses. -carry sensory information about the external world and the body to the brain and spinal cord.-Composed of cranial nerves, spinal nerves and peripheral nerves.-Contains sensory neurons and motor neurons
- I finally got it madam!! In conclusion, nervous system regulates most body system and basic function of this system is receive sensory input internal or external and response to the input.
- I am still confused between somatic and autonomic nervous system, madam.
- Nervous System
- Autonomic nervous system regulates a variety of involuntary body process that take place such as body temperature, heartbeat and emotion responses. Somatic nervous system function is to connect the central nervous system to the body's muscles to control voluntary movement and reflex arcs.

- Yeah that's true, however the nervous system ant function without the help of every nerves and neurons in our body too, for example the axons, grey and white matter
- I understand it too Madam. Finally I understand this voluntary love feeling of mine towards my lovely Najwa.. Najwa, lets not fight this love interaction between us and let's catch a flight together.
