Jonathan met Count Dracula for the first time outside of his castle. Dracula invited him in his dining room to have dinner together.
After dinner and a nice talk about their errand, Dracula showed Jonathan his bedroom and brought him into it. then he left him to"go to bed". During that night, Dracula escaped and left Jonathan all alone in the castle.
"As you see, she's coming back to her coffin. We must defeat her."
While Jonathan was trapped in Dracula's castle, Lucy got strangely sick and no one knew or would have suspected what had actually happened to her.
Lucy had two weird marks on her neck which made Doctor Seward and Peter Van Helsing come to the assumption that she was transitioning into a vampire. Despite it being unbelievable for many other people to comprehend and accept.
"I'm afraid it is too late ..."
Lucy had in fact been bitten by Dracula. She'd become a deeply dangerous vampire and tried to kill many people. Doctor Steward and Van Helsing attempted to help her as much as possible but there was no cure. She had to be killed and so she was.
The two men found Count Dracula, who was asleep in his coffin. After a gory battle they managed to kill him, yet one of them also passed alongside Dracula due to their injuries. Yet during that time to protect themselves the others used silver crosses and holy sacraments , to ensure others would survive also.
