- Hey Carson! Good to see you! I was thinking about joining the Boy Scouts and I knew you could tell me more info!
- Hey! A huge part of Scouts is to create a positive impact on society and make it a better place than it previously was. We love to help our community!
- That sounds fun! How do you engage with the community?
- Giving back to the community and find ways to help others that are less fortunate and need more help. It's important to us to make our community a better place for everyone!
- Cool! I would love to help make Fargo a better place! I've heard the Boy Scouts do a lot of fun projects, so could you tell me about something you've done?
- My favorite project was a bridge I built to earn my Eagle Scout Award. It took me about 3 weeks to plan it, then 110 hours over the course of 2 weeks to finish building it! I had some friends help me because it was a huge project. When we were done, it was 48 feet long. If you ever want to see it, it's located at Harvest Hope Farm in northern Moorhead! I was super proud of what I provided for the community.
- Wow Carson! That's awesome! I had no idea you were so involved in the Fargo, Moorhead community! How long have you been in Boy Scouts? It sounds like you're very dedicated! Do you have any other cool stories?
- I've been in Boy Scouts since 4th grade. It felt good to know I was making a difference. We've done plenty of other things over the years. We've held pancake breakfasts and bake sales. We've done food drives for those in need. We've helped other communities by filling sandbags to help them during floods. Another cool thing we did was when we received donations for the military we sent our troops popcorn overseas.
- Dude, that's super cool. I definitely think I want to get involved! Can you send me your Boy Scout leader's contact info, so I can message him about joining his troop?
