When she was putting away gifts, the men came in and attacked her They picked her up and carried her off into the night, to abandon in one of the tombs. When Akirrius heard that a seeing girl had ben spotted being hauled away, he hurried into the street and followed at a distance.
The poisoners abandoned Aleksis, tied up and gagged and passed out, in the tomb of King Rumn. They then stole all the treasure, except what was in the Sarcophagus. When he saw the men had left, Akirrius entered the tomb and caught sight of Aleksis.
Thinking her dead, Akirrius still managed to drag Aleksis' limp body out of the tomb, across the desert, and into Mali's home. He figured she should know, and he wanted those poisoners arrested for piercing his heart with a barbed arrow of loss. Aleksis was still trying to get enough air to breathe- the tomb air had been stale and almost oxygen-less.
When at Mali's, Aleksis was examined by a doctor. The doctor was able to get oxygen in her mouth by his secret breathing punch. After this, Aleksis opened her eyes and gave Akirrrius a smalll smile, all she could manage at the time. It only took a few minutes for her to regain her strength. Then, there was a celebration. Mali was so happy for Aleksis that she freed her, and sent her soldiers to find the poisoners and hang them.
Aleksis and Akirrius were given new clothes for the celebration. The two were also married then. Several people came, and Mali's gift to the two newlyweds was a ship to sail the seas on. They sailed to Cyprus, halfway between Greece and Egypt. Years later, they had a child, named Piata.
