- The steam engine called Rocket was built by George Stephenson. On 16 October 1829. Rocket was the winner in 'The Reinhills Trials'. It was a contest near Liverpool to see if any engineer could design a safe and reliable engine to use on the new railway. Four men entered their locomotives, including George Stephenson's.
- Good morning America, this is Lorena reporting for CNN from Rainhill near Liverpool, Britain. Next to me is Mr. Stephenson.Hi Mr. Stephenson! How are you?
- Well, I can imagine the reason. I heard you got L500 as a prize. Please tell us, what it was due to.
- Let's walk a little Mr. Stephenson. Can we see your Rocket?
- Well, my son Robert and I built the steam engine called Rocket, and it won a contest. It was the best in the tests here in Rainhill.There were other three steam engines, but Rocket easily overperformed them and was declared the winner, so I got the prize you mentioned.
- Hi America! Hi Lorena! Thanks for this interview.Let me tell you, I'm pretty fine and really happy!
- Of course Lorena!

- Tell us please, how was the contest about?Which were the other three steam engines in the contest?
- Then, how excitng it was!
- So this is the Rocket!
- Yes, this is the Rocket!
- Yes, it was!
- Well, the contest was about each one of four contestants raced their engines on a 3Km length of tracks, the Rocket was the one to get it.The other three were Sans Pareil, the Novelty and the Perseverance.

- Congratulations! I hope to attend the opening of that Railway!

- Well, the Rocket has proven to be the best, safe and reliable. It will be the one used in the new Liverpool and Manchester Railway next year.
