- Paikea was born, suddenly, both paikea's brother and mum had passed away.
- Years later, paikea and her grandfather felt a strong connection, they always used to go on a bike ride;
- Paikea's grandfather, koro, wanted to give someone else the opportunity on becoming the chief, so he grabs some kids from Paikea's school, and taught them.
- Koro felt confident, so Koro and the students went down to the sea. They stopped when it started to get deep, Koro was feeling good, he told them "whoever gives this back to me, they become the chief" and throws a necklace that was made from a whales tooth. Unfortunately, no one was able to grab it
- Paikea heard what happened, she went out with her family and went to the spot that koro went to, Paikea dived in the water, she stayed there for a while and her family got worried, so Paikea's uncle jumped in the water, moments after Paikea came out of the water with a lobster and Koro's necklace.
- A few days later, Paikea had an event, Koro wasn't feeling good, thinking that he lost his necklace forever, Paikea told him to go, because she had a surprise for him, Hours went by and Koro was late, he took his time and went outside, when he went outside he found a lot of whales up shore, the next day there whole family was trying to push the whales back into the sea, but there was no use. A few whales died, but 1, 1 big one had appeared on the sand. They tried giving it a shot. but they couldn't. So Paikea tried, she jumped on the whale, and hit the whale a few times with her foot. It did work, but it almost cost her, her life. A few days went by, and she was the new chief of the tribe.
